Miss America and Free Ice Cream at the KC Zoo

Beat the heat and join reigning Miss America, Jennifer Berry, at the new Discovery Barn Children's area at the Kansas City Zoo. Barry will hand out free Blue Bell Ice Cream to the first 500 people who attend the the event, which will be held from 3-4pm on Tuesday, July 18th. In addition, Barry will be speaking to youngsters about her platform 'Building Intolerance to Drunk Driving and Underage Drinking' and educate them about the dangers of drinking and driving. MADD volunteers will assist with the ice cream party and distribute MADD Red Ribbons intended to raise awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving.
