Missing UMKC Student Jesse 'Opie' Ross to Be Featured on Chicago Billboards

Sunday February 18, 2007
UMKC Student and 95.7 intern, Jesse 'Opie' Ross, 19--has been missing since November 21st as he attended a mock United Nations Conference at a downtown Chicago Sheraton Hotel. He was seen leaving a UN event and has not been seen or heard from since.

This week, two huge billboards with pictures of Ross offering a $10,000 reward leading to his whereabouts will adorn Chicago highways and will be seen by thousands of Chi-town motorists.

The boards, which were were funded by money raised by UMKC-students who sold 'Where's OPIE?' t-shirts around campus and private donations, are in the hopes that someone will come forward with clues to his mysterious disapperance.

If you have any information of Jesse's whereabouts, please contact your local police or call the TIPS hotline at 816.474.TIPS.

I went to high school with Jesse, a small Catholic school called O’Hara with about 300 students total. We ate lunch together and were lab partners in Chemistry. He’s a great friend and I miss him dearly and pray that he is safe.
