With Kansas City heat advisories issued and temperatures soaring into the 100's this week, it looks like there is just no end to our August heat wave. Sadly, the heat claimed the life of a 47-year old Kansas City man from excessive heat yesterday.
Did you know that over 60% of Kansas Citians live without air conditioning? Many local residents are seeking refuge in neighborhood Cool Off Centers, getting a donated fan or a/c unit,--while others are donating to those in need.
Remember to stay hydrated, wear light, loose fitting clothing, and stay out of the heat as much as possible!!
