It's the first weekend of 2008 and with Kansas City weather skyrocketing into the upper 50's, I'm sure many of us will be looking for great things to do around town. Check out the Kansas City Weekend Events Guide for great events happening around

- 'A Light in the Darkness': Celebrate Epiphany with Carlos Ibay, Rockhurst High School, 2:30pm
(All proceeds go the the Benedictines of Mary who are building a new monastery) - Craig Ferguson Uptown Theater, 6:30pm, Friday
- The Scamps with Geneva Price, Blue Room, Friday
- UMKC Women's Basketball vs. Western Illinois, 4pm, Municipal Auditorium, Saturday
