Mario Lopez. Check. Adam Levine. Yes. Brody? Maybe. But David Cook? Topping the list of PEOPLE Mag's hottest bachelors? What?
The guy can sing, he's from KC, and from what I see/hear, seems to be a pretty genuine guy. But hot?
I bet he doesn't even think he's hot.

David Cook is hot! On-stage he looks at the audience with total confidence. When he sings you can hear the testosterone in his voice. He does manly, husky and then reaches for the sky and knocks your socks off and more! If that is not sexy I don’t know what is.

Um—YES, HE’S HOT. Everyone may not agree, but David is the whole package. He’s intelligent, has a social conscience, sensitive, unassuming, and oozes sexiness from every pore on top of having a sexy, sensual voice. Women of all ages have agreed (just read a few blogs).
The man is not only hot, he is steaming hot!!!He is not only sexy but he has a beautiful voice. I don’t think that the same person wrote the comments about David! Creative, smart, self-described entrance level Renaissance Man, funny, loves his family, loyal to friends…and did I mention how big his feet are? He gives women hope — we saw him transform from a shlubby semi-broke bartender with black fingernails into a major hottie. There’s hope for all of us with our shlubby boyfriends.

He is an awesome singer/musician, He is extremely good looking, he has a sensitive side and is not afraid to show it(which we saw a lot of on Idol this year)He’s kind and has a big heart which is evident from his interviews and just showing genuine concern for other people. You may have noticed when he won AI, he took like a millisecond to process the announcement before he hugged Archie and gave him a shout out. He said over and over in interviews, where were all these women before AI? You ladies from the Tulsa area must need some help if you hadn’t snatched him up already! If I had seen this fine specimen in that bar, oh yes, he would be mine!

david cook is the definition of sexy!!! he’s got that incredible voice which melts your heart and you have to fall in love with! and besides that, he’s gorgeous! not to mention that he seems like a really sweet and genuine guy. pretty much, he’s perfect.

I actually told my husband I was borderine-obsessed with DC… what does that tell you? There’s just something about DC that draws you to him - the voice, the occasional tears, the creativity.
You know that game you play, “Who would you want to get stranded on a desert island with . . . ” Well, you could give me my choice of every single one of People’s Hottest Bachelors from the last 5 years, and I’d STILL pick David Cook. He is uncannily hot, in ways that are sometimes unquantifiable. I can’t believe what this guy has done to me and an entire demographic of women in this country (and others). Amazing–but oh, so fun to watch and enjoy. Haven’t felt like this since the Bon Jovi days–and even then it wasn’t quite like this. Yep. He’s HOT.
David Cook is the hottest! Women love him because he is so smart, funny, cool, and yes, sexy = all rolled into one lovely package. What’s more he seems so accessible because he is so genuine, thoughtful and even self-deprecating, which is pretty refreshing these days. Not sure who this DC guy is. Sorry! I suggest checking out the latest Black Mountain release titled “Into the Future”. Phenomenal!! Also, the best hard rock album so far this year has been cranked out by those crazy Texan’s in a little band called The Sword! Their newest joint “Gods of the Earth” is stunning to say the least! Their first album “Ages of Winter” was excellent but leaned heavily towards stoner rock. On Gods they put the bongs down and mixed equal parts Sabbath with Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All. All I can say is outstanding gentelmen, outstanding! Another excellent album to peep out is from some veteran trip-hoppers know as Portishead. Much different then Dummy or their self-titled album. I’ve only listened to it a handfull of times but very dense and eclectic. More complex than Massive Attack’s Mezzanine but dark and brooding in the same fashion. Sorry that’s all I have for now in the music realm! I’ll write more in the coming weeks. Remember, these words have all be in accordance with prophecy…..

Yeah I agree. DC is NOT hot! When someone is thrown in the spot light it must warp people’s brains to think that he is any hotter than the dude checking you out at Target! FO REAL!!
What is so appaling to me is that it was suggested that Brody is only “maybe” hot… Brody is delectible & I would be content to just sit & stare at him all day every day!
As for David… Whatever, he’s our hometown guy & all & so I must be supportive, but I certainly do not need to wipe drool from my mouth when I see him on TV. He’s a talented fella, I’ll give him that.
The real draw is that David is so unassuming and humble. He has no idea how talented he is, nor does he realize the effect his stage presence has on everyone who sees him. That’s what makes him so appealing. He’s young enough to be my son (in fact, they are only days apart in age)but I confess, I near drooled when he performed. You go, sugar!
Let me see if I can help with the David Cook conundrum. What makes DC “hot” is not your typical physical measurement, though he is a nice looking man. It’s more visceral. DC is a man who grew into his own before our eyes. From the AI commercials and clips, we saw he has a sense of humor (FACT: women like men who are self-confident enough to laugh at themselves), however, David also exudes an innate, masculine confidence that makes his performances memorable and compelling. He’s modest with praise—or dissent—and considerate to fellow competitors (FACT: women appreciate generosity of spirit and sincerity). Big David cared for the feelings of the younger David, as well as being an obviously loving brother and son (FACT: women look for men who will be good fathers). He exhibited happiness with smiles, as well as tears (FACT: women are turned on by emotional accessibility). He also has a way of staring into the camera that is, to say the least…effective. As to your point that he probably wouldn’t consider himself hot…I think his reaction to all the hoopla since his win shows he would agree with those who say, “No way!.” But, ironically, that just seems to make him all the hotter. Add to that mad singing skills, an intelligent mind, and a kind heart…. Huh, attractive? Go figure.
By the way, this is my first comment here, and my only comment. David Cook should be #1 hottest bachelor of the year. He has got it all. If you watched all of season 7 AI, then you would think so to. I have read 1000’s of blogs all over the world and 95% agree with me. What the other bachelors don’t have is compassion. David has compassion and sexy looks. He IS #1.

I disagree with the comment that no one would like him if he wasn’t on AI. I’m not the type to go for the Brad Pitt types of the world. I like an interesting looking guy with substance. Super cute looks are most definitely NOT an issue with me! I picked DC out from day 1 with the faux-hawk and red streaks in his hair and just fell in love with that voice. I told my husband that guy is going to win, just watch. I thought he was attractive either way. What would be a big turn off would be a bad attitude. No one understands that this is what gets women, sincerity, a sense of humor and compassion. You can look like Adonis and be a real asshole. We women didn’t KNOW of DC before so how can the judgement be made. I’m only in my 30’s and I feel almost dirty thinking about him!

He has 11 of the top 100 Billboard songs right now - and is so unassuming and adorable. People Magazine knows their stuff. Brad Pitt is sort of old news. In with David Cook!
David Cook is the sexiest man to come along in ages!!! I watched him from his first audition, and he was cute at first. But once he started to transform, it was amazing to see how smokin’ hot he really was! And, it’s not all about the looks, which he DOES have. It’s about his compassion, kindness, intelligence, humility, sense of humor, and his super mega talent as a performer. This guy may seem like an overnight success, but he has been performing for ten years and HAS paid his dues. He truly deserves the recognition he has received. He has an amazing road before him, because he is so awesome. I believe that anybody that doesn’t see what we believers already see will come over to the Cookie side once they get a taste of what we AI viewers got to see this season! Sorry Mary Anne, The silent majority has finally spoken. David Cook is absolutely hot. Pretty boys with abs just don’t cut it. We want real men with brains that can speak in complete sentences. I am not into alternative rock, but I could learn to like it. As far as his looks, I did prefer the mohawk and grunge look, however, the change is cool too. I loved watching him perform. David Cook is definitely hot and the fact that he is a nice guy, who is talented and who doesn’t even know he is hot makes it all the better.
Contrast that to Mario who is an adulterous womanizer who has said things that makes me believe he hates women. If any of the women who commented want that kind of thing, just because he looks nice in his underwear, you can have it.
This is the first season that I’ve watched AI from start to finish BECAUSE of David Cook. He is genuine, adorable and truly talented. He is close to his family and friends which truly makes him HOT!! My son is working toward a music career and I hope that he achieves his dream with the class that David has exhibited. David Cook is the real deal and cute to boot.

He is a hottie. I love his smile and he does not seem to be overly cocky. That is so sexy.
The fact that he doesn’t think he’s hot makes him even hotter. I’ll admit that I didn’t see it as much before the hair cut, but once you could see those amazing eyes, it was hard not to get lost in them.
Oh - he’s hot all right. And “hot” is not just about looks. The first couple of weeks into Idol I told my husband I liked DC, even though he was “kind of goofy looking.” As the season went on and I learned more about his personality and his sense of humor and his talent I quit thinking he was goofy looking.
Granted, his looks have improved a little since coming to Hollywood, and the beard helps, but it’s still WAY more than looks. He undoubtedly has his flaws, but everything I’ve seen about him says “Perfect Man.” (Okay - I would lose the guyliner, but that’s it!)
David Cook isn’t just hot–he’s SEXY (although I admit his beard does make him yummier). There is just this passionate quality to him that so many of the standard “Hollywood” or “celebrity” men lack for me! As if he didn’t have enough going, then there is the fact that even after winnning Idol, he remained a down to earth and friendly person. SWEET!
And for a point of reference, this was the first season of Idol I had bothered watching past the auditions since Season 4!
David Cook is the whole package. A to Z. Start to finish. Talented. Intelligent, Sensitive. Nice–but not perfect–body. Compassionate. Well-mannered. Well-spoken. Charismatic (Simon, stuff it!) and articulate. Gorgeous voice. Unforgettable laugh. Eyes to fall into. If there was ever a more perfect man, I don’t know who that man is, but David Cook is a force to be reckoned with. I’m a goner, and I’m old enough to be his mother.
