Former Swizzle Chef Sadly Dies in Breckenridge

Sadly, the news reports that famed Swizzle chef, Ryan Torpey, died Thursday in Breckenridge after a fall while hiking. Torpey was an amazing chef with quite an impressive resume of culinary delights and was really making a name for himself in the restaurant world.
I've known Ryan since I was in 8th grade--he was kind, funny and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I seem to remember that he had a love for those Colorado mountains--he will be missed by all that knew him.

I worked with Ryan at Swizzle and miss him everyday. I would really like to get in contact with his family but I do not have any numbers. Kim or Lexi if you read this I miss you guys and Georgia I have a birthday present for you. I know I didn’t know Ryan long but between him and Ben they became some very good friends.
