Proposition 8 Protest

Yesterday afternoon, the Kansas City GLB&T community (along with friends, families and supporters) rallied with those nationwide to protest against California's Prop 8 (that essentially bans gay marriage) at Mill Park. I was unfortunately not in attendance because I was at the Rebecca Weinberg fashion show, answering SATC trivia and winning a redic expensive hand bag (yea!).

Those who went said the protest was uplifting and powerful--and I was surprised to see lack of news coverage on such an important event.
