Pam and Pete sent a note to the KC Blogosphere last week asking if we'd shoot them back with our faves. I love the article format--not just compiling a list, but listing bloggers personal top picks. Many of my faves were mentioned (like KC Daily Photo, TKC, MoxieMommaKC, and Erin in the Real World) as were a host of other great KC Bloggers. Congrats!

There has been a debate over the “ra” sound at the end of Missouri. I would like to know when we be able to put the “ra” behind us. There is no language that I know of where you can get the “ra” sound from an “ri” except from the language of the sticks in southern Missouri. There is an animated movie coming soon called “Despereaux”, long story short these animated mice might called the beloved state Missouri, missoura. You don’t hear people call Cincinatti, cincinatta or Mississippi, mississippa I’m tired of the backwoods setting the impression of all life here in MIZZOUREE. Now people all over the world will be calling your home missoura because of this movie. Tell your grandparents to stop the madness.
