Waterfire 2009

Thursday October 22, 2009

Barnaby Evans' fiery installation, 'Waterfire', hits Brush Creek on Saturday, and is one of our top picks for fall. This amazing display of public art is both mesmerizing and relaxing, as huge bonfires illuminate the waters of Brush Creek and the smell of hickory smoke fills the fall evening air.

Sit or stroll the banks of the Country Club Plaza--and it should be a perfect night if it doesn't rain with the cool fall temperatures pouring in.

What: Waterfire 2009

Where: On Brush Creek, throughout the Country Club Plaza (East and West of Wornall)

When: Sunset-Midnight, Lighting of the braziers at 6:30

Cost: Free
