18th Street Fashion Show :
The comingling of the urban renewal and the revitalization of the Crossroads District has brought many things to Kansas City-most notably, First Friday, great galleries, flourishing art scene and a plethora of fashion boutiques that bring us a little taste of what's going on elsewhere. So, as summer heats up, so does the world of art and fashion scene--starting with the Annual West 18th Street Fashion Show, June 6th, 2009.
'Summer in Space':
The free, family-friendly, outdoor fashion show brings over twenty local designers paired with over forty local models who show 18 short collections. This years show, dubbed 'Summer in Space' brings collections from Kansas City's uberchic fashion houses like spool*, bon bon atelier, Habitat and Birdies, nu Kai and coci Bijou to the runway with a New York fashion week kind of feel. With ultra-hip clothes, beautious models and tunes spinning...it's the must-do fashion event of the summer.
