Kansas City Renaissance Festival 2009:


Here ye, here ye--the coming of fall means many things to Kansas City. Cooler temperatures, football and the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Now in it's 33rd year, the KC Ren Fest has over 16 acres of fun filled games, rides, 500 costumed characters, 160+ shops, artisians and even the famed joust and that's just the start. There is something for everyone young and old at KC's Ren Fest....and don't forget to eat that Giant Turkey Leg!!!

The KC Ren Fest is open on weekends, September 5th-October 18th, Labor Day and Columbus Day.

Gates are open from 10am-7pm.

The KC Ren Fest is held in Bonner Springs in the park next to Verizon Wireless Ampitheater. Check out the KC Ren Festwebsite for a map and directions or call 1-800-373-0357.

Tickets:


Advance tickets are avaiable at the following locations:
Dillon's, Gerbe's, Baker's, and all greater Kansas City Hy-Vee's and Walgreens.

Adults are $15.50 and Kids are $7.95 at these outlets.

Tickets may also be purchased on-line (with service charge) and at the gate.

Group ticket discounts are also available.

2009 Theme Weekends:


The KC Ren Fest has added 'Theme Weekends'--with a different theme each weekend in 2009.

2008 Scheduled themes include:

  • Pirate Adventure
  • The Court Jesters
  • Tales for the Sultan
  • Cakes and Ale [li[ Kilts and Kings
  • Wild Kingdom
  • Spirited Adventure

    Phantom's Feaste :

    Billed as an R rated event and not for the faint at heart, the Phantom's Feaste is by far the scariest event of the KC Ren Fest. This interactive show promises goul and gore as well as six courses to feaste on during the evening. Guests are welcome to dress in costume.

    Thursday through Sunday, October 22nd-25th, 6:30pm
    Thursday through Saturday, October 29th-31st, 6:30pm

    Cabaret Macabre Show, October 23rd and 30th, 11pm.

    Cost: Feaste ($45), Carbaret ($35)
    Adult beverages, $3
