Oktoberfest Kansas City Style:
Please Note: Oktoberfest will not be held in 2009 per the downtown Council. One of the things I love most about fall is all the great things to do outside in Kansas City. Enter the annual Oktoberfest. The clan has been going for years now--and there is just something about beer, brats, pumpkin launches and polka that make me want to scream 'widerhosen' with a side of snuff while doing the chicken dance. Inside joke. So grab the fam, get your Runza, and embrace your inner Bavarian.
Where is Oktoberfest?:
The Downtown Council moved Oktoberfest from it's home on the Wasserfront to it's new home at Crown Center in 2006. The fest will is spread among three venues.
Washington Square Park

Fun for Familes:
Oktoberfest is fun for the whole family--they have a great carnival with rides, games and an occasional blow up slide or two. The fest also has a Kinder Garten area filled with fun. Pumpkin decorating, crafts and food top the list of fun things to do with the little ones...and kids get in FREE!
