Easter is on April 20, 2014, and there are a variety of fun activities throughout the Kansas City Metro that you and your family can attend in order to celebrate this joyous Spring holiday. One annual tradition for most families is an Easter egg hunt, which is especially fun when the weather’s cooperating. Here’s a list of some of the Easter egg hunts taking place around the Kansas City metro this Easter.

Antioch Community Church

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2014, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

This event includes egg hunts for various age group, chips and hot dogs, free Easter bunny photos, and other fun activities is open to the public in the event will take place rain or shine.

LifePoint Church of Olathe: Cultivating Community

Powell Gardens

Powell Gardens has a variety of activities for families and children. Their annual breakfast at the Easter Bunny sold-out, but they still encourage families to come out and take part in the other activities throughout the day. They are Easter egg hunts starts at 11 AM and takes place on their front lawn, weather permitting. For families that are only attending the Easter egg hunt the fee is $5. Adults must pay garden admission and members of how Gardens are free. However even members must pay the $5 egg hunt fee per child.

Other activities as Powell Gardens include face painting, storytelling, coloring, paint a pot, and earth day activities.

Garrison Community Center
