KC Renaissance Festival:
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival, now in its 37th year, opens on Labor Day weekend. With over 16 acres of games, rides, 500 costumed characters, 160+ shops and artisians it's something to see. Don't forget that Giant Turkey Leg!!!
First Friday in the Crossroads:
The streets of the Crossroads become alive during the First Friday of the month with artist openings, receptions, events and impromptu fun. Labor Day First Friday promises a lot of gallery activity, so head to the Crossroads to witness the excitement.

Shawnee Mission Park presents 'Pops in the Park':
The Kansas City Symphony will present its 29th annual Labor Day Pops in the Park concert on September 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Under the evening sky, and the baton of associate conductor Steven Jarvi, the full symphony orchestra will perform a program designed to delight family audiences. The event is FREE for all, bring blankets and chairs.
