Oceans of Fun:
Oceans of Fun is one of the largest outdoor water theme parks in the Midwest. Built in 1982, Oceans of Fun has grown to house over 13 thrill rides, family water rides, slides and even water activities for little ones. Located adjacent to World's of Fun--it's no wonder Oceans of Fun has been the place to cool off during those hot Kansas City summers.
Location and Directions:
Oceans of Fun is located next to Worlds of Fun at 4545 Worlds of Fun Avenue, just off the East loop of I-435 at Exit 54 in Kansas City, Missouri. Go to the Ocean of Fun website for detailed directions, including driving distances from major metros around Kansas City.
Hours of Operation:
Oceans of Fun is open daily from May 27th to August 27th, 2006. It's then open weekends Sept 1-4th, 9, 10, 11 and 17th. Hours of operation vary, so check the Oceans of Fun, website for further information.
Ticket Info:
Tickets: Tickets are $25.95 for those ages 3-61 and a 2 day pass is $39.95. You can also buy a 'Ride and Slide' pass for $46.95, which gives you one day access to both World's and Oceans of Fun.

Amusementpark.com offers Single-one day and Ride and Slide tickets for reduced rates. They also offer specials from time to time. Order online and the tickets will be shipped to your home or you may pick them up at Oceans of Fun.

Rides and Attractions:
Oceans of fun has attractions and rides for all ages. Paradise Falls is a park goer favorite-with a four-story interactive water cannon, water slides and a 1,000-gallon bucket that empties every five minutes. There is also the Typhoon, one of the world's longest water speed slides, the Surf City Wave Pool and Hurricane Falls, a large water raft ride. To top it off, they've got a hangout just for those 21 and older and a host of activity areas like Crocodile Isle for the little ones.
Cabanas and Lockers:
You can also rent cabanas for $55-75 dollars a day which is a nice place for families to gather, relax and eat. It provides you with lounge chairs, a dining table and a covered tent. You also get food and drink service which is great. Located next to the Surf City Wave Pool it's a good spot for home base. OAF also provides locker service for a small fee so that you may lock up your stuff while in the park.
Eats and Drinks:
Oceans of Fun has pleanty of places to nosh all around the park. From hamburgers and pizza to Zarda BBQ and shaved ice, there is something for everyone. They've even got Bob's Belly Up Bar for those over 21 who need a cold margarita on a hot day.
