The Jones :

The story broke early in 2009--that the Power and Light District would be adding a new element to downtown's bar, restaurant and entertainment district--a rooftop pool.

Perched high above Main on top of Cosentino's Market (10 E.13th), and in clear view of many an office cubicle (yes, that could get interesting), the newest addition to the Power and Light District, The Jones, is set to open on June 20th.

The Place to Be This Summer :

Named after the flagship spot of the famed The Jones Store, which resided at the locale from 1902 to 1998, The Jones promises to be the place to be this summer. The P&L coined 'ultra pool' will house 12 private cabanas, full cocktail service, swim up bar, as well as a daily DJ and concierge service.

Memberships :

Just like many privately owned pools around the metro and the country, (think Samantha Jones and the famous SoHo House membership episode in Sex and the City) memberships are available and vary on amenities.

Members will be able to bring limited numbers of guests, and have the advantages of not having to wait in line, no cover, towel service and extensive use of concierge services.

Membership Info:

• Platinum: $1,000 ($400/3 months)

• Premium: $400 ($150/3 months)

  Members only: 11am-dark, Monday-Thursday
  Members and their guests, and those with reservations: 11am-close, Friday and Saturday
