One of the most popular places in the Crossroads, the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center (2012 Baltimore Ave.), was founded over 20 years ago by Jim Leedy, Kansas City's leading advocate for the arts community. Mr. Leedy was instrumental in the revitalization of the Crossroads and his Art Center houses a center stage showcase for regional, national and international artists. Also noted is his Opie Gallery (inside the Art Center) which serves as a space dedicated to up and coming artists.
