Kansas City Dog Parks

One of the favorite off leash dog parks in the metro, the SMP dog park lets your pooch go off leash on the 53+ acre fenced in park. SMP includes lots of room for your pup to romp and even has a swimming beach to cool off and take a dip. The park is open year around duringpark hours, but can get very crowded on warm weekend afternoons.

Fees directly support Wayside Waifs adoption shelter The Wayside Waifs Bark Park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience and includes five acres of fenced-in loveliness in a park-like setting with many trees and shaded areas. The fee-based park also has a number of watering stations and all proceeds directly support one of the metro's largest adoption shelters. Annual Membership is $120.00, monthly membership is $17.50, day membership is $2.00

The metro's only urban dog park is situated between midtown and downtown, at Pershing and Main in Penn Valley Park and is open seven days a week from dusk until dawn. The fenced off area offers water fountains for dogs and their owners.

Open in 2007, the park includes a small pond, lots of open space and many shade trees. The park also has water fountain for you and your four-legged friends and a dog wash-off area as you exit the park.

The Kill Creek Streamway Park Off-Leash Dog Area is located at the 95th Street access point at Kill Creek. The 16-acre off-leash area is well treed and not overly crowded.

The Riverfront Park of Lawrence is located on the banks of the Kansas River which has an amazing view pets and their two legged friends will enjoy. Take North Second Street at Highways 24 and 40 straight to Riverfront Park.
